Positive
sharing: A big thank you for the food provided for the
parent/teacher conferences and the luncheon.
The 4th grade was appreciative that the PTO paid for part of
the Brewer’s Game fieldtrip. Mrs Sabel
said the Great Safety Program was a big success. Also, she gave a kudos to Stacey Lowther for
being Rover the mascot. PBIS is going
well in its second year.
Principal’s
report: The Menasha Police Auxiliary will be doing an
interactive program with the students.
They will be reading books and other activities. The students will be able to earn “ranks” for
their participation. This will be in the
form of colored “dog tags” that they will put on a necklace.
Fine
Arts/Book Fair: Ms Bever’s said that she
is in need of volunteers to help the students before their performances, this year it is going be bigger and better
than the years past. There will piñatas,
face painting, origami, hat making, crayon making, snacks, performance from
every grade, drumming. Again Jamie Baehman and Stacey Lowther will be doing the
scholastic book fair this year. Hours are Tuesday, May 1 (5-8) Wednesday, May 2
(315-530) and Thursday, May 3 (315-530).
The scholastic dollars that was earned last year and this year will be
going to the teacher’s for books, etc. It
will also go to the school store and acknowledgments that are given out to the students. Jamie will be informing the teachers about
how they can redeem their dollars and the amount they will receive.
Carnival: Tammy
Lukasavage stated that she has everything under control. There will be 3 clowns this year, more cotton
candy, a few new games and everyone will be getting a little prize, Fun Pros
will be doing the inflatables again this year.
Also, there will be snow cones, root beer, hotdogs and chips. She will also be sending out letters to
businesses and parents for donations for the “big prizes”. The date for this
event is Friday, May 18, 2012.
5th
Grade end of the year event:
Heather Kurilla is asking for help with the 5th grade party. Please contact her at kurilla@new.rr.com if interested in
helping. There will be a pizza party
also.
Fundraiser
2012-2013: The coordinator
for this event is Stacey Lowther and co- chair is Jamie Baehman. The results are in from the voting that took
place at each of the parent/teacher conferences in March and April. The fall fund raiser will be the
entertainment book. There will be more
info sent home soon in regards to this. Also,
there will be a possible year long fund raiser for Script and a spring
fundraiser for a school cook book or Hansen’s.
PTO
Business: PTO officer nominations where collected. For President, VP, and Secretary there where
nominations. Chad Lewis will be contacting these people to see if they
accept. At the May meeting they will
NEED to be present.
